Fatty Liver Histology compared to Normal Liver.

Normal Liver - Gordon & Sweet Stain (G&S)
Nice and fine reticulin fibres.

Normal Liver - Masson Trichrome Stain (MT)

Normal Liver - Perls' Prussian Blue Reaction (PBR)
No Haemosiderin.

Fatty Liver - H&E
Vacuoles = fat

Fatty Liver - Gordon & Sweet Stain (G&S)
Massive appearance of reticulin fibres.

Fatty Liver - Masson Trichrome Stain (MT)
Shows FIBRIN (red) which is an insoluble fibrillar protein from plasma fibrinogen. Its presence indicates tissue damage associated with an acute inflammatory reaction.

Fatty Liver - Perls' Prussian Blue Reaction (PBR)
Unclear haemosiderin (blue) showed. In pathologically, excess of iron, haemosiderin is deposited in liver.
